Playa del Carmen Dive Sites All Cyan-Ha Dive Center diving and snorkeling trips take place along the coast line north and south from the dive shop, following the reefs which run parallel to the beach. The dive sites are all 10-20 minutes by boat from the Playa del Carmen dive shop. Deep Dive 9:00 AM The deepest set of reefs is found at 25 to 30 Mts. (80 to 100 ft,) these are the maximum depths divers reach in Cyan-Ha Dive Center excursions. Shallow Dive 11:00 AM The next set of reefs is in the range of 14 to 18 Mts. (50 to 60 ft.). In all of these locations there is a current present allowing divers to drift with it along the reef, with proper buoyancy control this is an effortless way of diving. Shallow Dive 1:00 PM (available on demand) The shallow reefs near Playa del Carmen appear in the 10 to 12 Mts. depth range (30 to 40 ft.), making them ideal for night diving or novice divers.
